After 5,500 households joined us in our demand for cheaper energy, we’re excited to announce that we’ve managed to negotiate the best tariffs on the market for you! Our leading negotiated tariff will give the average UK household a massive £316 saving on their annual energy bill! (based on average dual fuel tariff costing £1,420 (Source: OFGEM February 2013. Knowing that everyone is different, we’ve negotiated a number of different tariffs including; dual fuel, electricity only, fixed, variable, green, economy 7 and a number of different payment methods including monthly direct debit, payment on receipt of bill and pre-payment meters.

That’s why we’ve teamed up with the Consumer Focus accredited energyhelpline so that you can compare our collective switch deals with other tariffs available on the market. Consumers over profits

We’ve managed to get you the best possible deal out there at the moment thanks to our outlook which places consumers, not profits, at the heart of everything we do. As a not-for-profit organisation committed to reducing the burden of sky-high energy bills we’ve kept our referral fees and running costs to an absolute minimum.

Referral fees (charged to energy companies by switching providers for supplying custom) are normally anywhere between £40 and £70 pounds. We will take an average referral fee of between £5 and £8 to cover our costs (and scheme partner costs), and offer the rest of the referral fees to you in the form of cash back.  We also plan to have surplus money we can use for community energy savings projects or community renewable energy generation projects.

Note: there are several tariffs from suppliers that we have not included in our results tables, either because they have a very poor record for customer service or their published offer is frequently unavailable to new customers.

Thank you!

This collective switch would not have been possible without the overwhelming response we’ve received from you, our members. To all those that have joined us and shared CheaperEnergyTogether.org with your friends, family and colleagues – thank you.
